PennDOT District 3-0 Open End Agreement

PennDOT District 3-0 | Various Counties, PA

This open-end agreement encompasses a wide range of project development activities including environmental studies and engineering studies with the several different types of projects with short completion schedules being assigned concurrently. The types of assignments include corridor studies, bridge replacements or bridge rehabilitation with minor approach work, environmental studies, roadway betterments (3R type), minor capital improvement projects (bridges or roadway), railroad grade crossing projects, and minor location studies. AEG is providing survey, geotechnical engineering, and engineering support across PennDOT District 3-0.

AEG’s engineering support services include bridge and roadway drafting support, perform field surveys, plot topography and cross sections, prepare submission for utility verification and relocations engineering, prepare Right-of-Way plans, complete structure designs include type, size and location reports, hydrologic and hydraulic studies and reports, develop traffic control plans with narratives, engineering services during construction, collect signal timing, accident data and other traffic flow data, document engineering study findings and activities.

AEG’s geotechnical engineering services include compiling logs and testing provided by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (Department), finalizing foundation designs and reports, and investigating utility involvement on the projects. The structures will involve culvert replacements and extension along with a single-span bridge utilizing a Geosynthetic Reinforced Soil-Integrated Bridge System (GRS-IBS). The bridge will be designed considering the stage construction that will involve additions/revisions to the Department’s Standard Details and Specifications.
