Water Resources

AEG has more than six decades of experience providing services for water-related projects, with an in-depth knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) analyses. Other experience includes providing services related to floodplain studies, storm drainage design, wetland delineation/mitigation, stormwater management, sediment and erosion control measures, sizing of bridge and box culvert openings, scour analysis, and the safety inspection of dams. We perform groundwater and surface water flow measurement and water quality monitoring services for water supply, wastewater discharge, and other water resource issues, including treating Acid Mine Drainage and Acid Rock Drainage discharges.

Our team includes engineers, geologists, environmental scientists and biologists, field technicians, surveyors, and GIS professionals, allowing AEG to provide an in-house interdisciplinary/comprehensive approach to solving the complex issues surrounding water resource projects. AEG incorporates various technical tools and scientific methodologies, including developing and utilizing many modeling software programs, data collection and analyses, procedures, and field investigations.

Regardless of the size or complexity of your needs, AEG knows water-related services call for highly specialized skills and knowledge from start to finish. We have performed tasks for private clients, rural townships and boroughs, state-owned DOTs, and large federal agencies, including the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).
