About this Project
The Coatesville Train Station project is a cornerstone of the city’s ongoing revitalization, bringing a $70 million investment to Chester County. Located at 4th Avenue and Fleetwood Street, the new station is designed to replace the long-closed historic facility, providing full ADA accessibility, improved commuter amenities, and multimodal connectivity. Construction includes two 536-foot-long high-level platforms, stair and elevator towers, security systems, and a new parking garage with 300 spaces. Streetscape improvements along 3rd and 4th Avenues were completed in advance to ensure safe pedestrian and bicycle access. Amtrak has constructed a 2.5-mile freight bypass track to accommodate wide loads, and Fleetwood Street is being reconfigured to support bus stops and kiss-and-ride zones. The station will serve both Amtrak and SEPTA riders and is expected to be completed in 2026.
AEG is providing on-site materials testing and inspection services throughout the construction phase. Our inspection team documents daily site activities, contractor operations, and materials testing results, ensuring compliance with PennDOT standards and supporting the delivery of a safe, durable, and accessible transportation facility. AEG’s role is crucial in maintaining quality control and supporting the successful completion of this high-profile infrastructure project.
