- Location: Montgomery County, PA
About this Project
AEG has supported Montgomery County with seven bridge replacement and rehabilitation projects over the past five years, contributing to a total of 78 contracts for local agencies during that time. Our multidisciplinary services, spanning surveying, geotechnical, environmental, and structural engineering, have helped modernize aging infrastructure and enhance safety across the county’s transportation network.
Surveying tasks include conducting courthouse record searches to identify property owners affected, preparing and distributing Letters of Intent to Enter, coordinating with PA One Call for utility marking, recovering horizontal and vertical control points, performing topographic surveys, developing base plans, and conducting hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) surveys.
Geotechnical responsibilities include preparing Subsurface Exploration Planning Submissions (SEPS), managing and supervising boring, sampling, and testing programs, and producing Structure Foundation Reports. All testing is conducted in accordance with PennDOT standards and publications.
Environmental services encompass wetland identification and delineation, ecological studies, and permitting coordination. AEG’s structural engineers conduct detailed bridge inspections, create structural plans, and manage all structural engineering tasks needed for design and rehabilitation.
AEG’s work guarantees that Montgomery County’s bridges comply with modern design standards, environmental laws, and long-term durability goals, promoting safe and efficient travel for residents and visitors alike.
